On the afternoon of April 19, Professor Sheng Xiaozhen's team from the School of Urban Railway Transportation and Professor Roberto Corradi's team from the School of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano, Italy, conducted an online academic exchange. This event is hosted by Dr. Li Qianqian from the School of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
At the meeting, Professor Sheng Xiaozhen introduced the basic situation of the School of Urban Railway Transportation of Shanghai University of Engineering Science and the achievements and progress made by the team in wheel-rail vibration, wheel-rail environmental noise prediction method, experimental testing technology. Dr. Zhong Shuoqiao reported the achievements of the team in the theoretical research and engineering application of elastic wheels. Prof. Roberto Corradi introduced the research progress and latest achievements of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano in the fields of wheel-rail vibration, numerical simulation of vibration noise and fluid dynamics of high-speed rail. The scientific research achievements and engineering application effects of the two teams have been highly praised by the other side.
In view of the common research interests and directions of both sides, Professor Sheng Xiaozhen introduced the policies and achievements of international cooperation between Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai University of Engineering Science. At last, the two sides expressed their strong willingness to further apply for foreign college projects, exchange visits between teachers and students, and scientific research cooperation.
